This granola is great with yogurt or milk, or just on its own.
2 C. sliced almonds, or any chopped nuts
4 C. rolled oats – quick or old fashioned
1 C. wheat germ
½ C. sesame seeds
½ C. sunflower seeds
1 C. honey (you can use part maple syrup)
1 T. oil
½ tsp. salt
2 T. vanilla
2 C. raisins – or substitute other dried fruit for part
Combine first five ingredients in big bowl.
Heat honey, then add remaining ingredients except raisins.
Spread in one layer on one or two cookie sheets.
Bake at 325, stirring occasionally until brown – be careful not to burn.
Mix in raisins and cool before storing in airtight container.
